Vacancy Details:
The design engineering apprenticeship will follow a 4 year training programme where you will gain experience with our state of the art technology as well as working alongside innovative Design Engineers at our Newport factory. First class training will be delivered through our training provider, NDGTA at their facility in Cwmbran.
£5.60 per hour 39 hours a week.
Desirable Personal Qualities:
- Minimum 5 x GCSEs or equivalent – Grade C or above (Maths Grade B as a minimum) including Maths, English and Science
- Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ambitious and willing to work hard to achieve excellent results
- Reliable, punctual and driven to succeed
- Ability to use own initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have a passion and desire to pursue a career in product design
Training to be provided:
- Apprentices will complete NVQ Level 2 and Level 3
- BTEC Level 3 to be completed in the first 2 years before continuing to HNC in years 3 and 4
- On the job training
Interview Arrangements:
Suitable candidates will need to complete an initial assessment with our training provider NDGTA prior to the interview stage.
